Premier Dog Boarding

While your dog is staying with us, we want to mirror your dog’s home life as much as possible. For us, this means:

● Enough room to play and sleep.

● Outdoor, fresh-air walks several times a day.

● Clean floors and beds.

● Supervised by our Dog Care Attendants.

● Socialization with other dogs.

● Being fed with our food (Hill's Science Diet) or yours (with your instructions).

We provide webcam access to all of our clients so that they can check in on their happy pets.

First Time At Dog Pawz?

If this is your first visit to Dog Pawz, you will need to call to schedule your Meet and Greet day. Meet and Greet days can be scheduled for Monday – Friday. Once we have entered your information into our system, you will have access to your online account and will be able to book daycare and boarding reservations online, as well as camera access.

Please bring in a copy of your pup's updated vaccine records on your Meet and Greet day.

All pets must be leashed at check in. An animal care attendant will remove anything your pet is wearing at check-in and a facility safe pet identification band will be placed on your pet for the duration of their stay. Leashes, collars, and harnesses that are left at our facility need to be labeled with your pets’ first and last name. Dog Pawz is not responsible for any lost or damaged leashes, collars, flea collars, etc.

For first-timers, we have a “New Dog Introduction Procedure”. We place your dog in a small area next to their designated play area so they can get used to the smells and sounds. Depending on the dog and the breed, the introduction period varies. We have found this technique helps with new anxiety jitters.

We also encourage half-day play days so your dog can get used to staying with us before they stay for an extended period of time. During this time, we are able to better understand your dog’s behavior and tendencies, making everyone comfortable and your dog’s stay with us safer.

Spay/Neuter Policy: We require dogs over 6 months of age to be spayed or neutered.

Required Vaccinations: Written proof from your veterinarian of current Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella is required for your dog to stay with us. All feline boarding guests must be up to date on Rabies and FVRCP vaccinations. If your pet needs any of the required vaccines in this list, our vet would be happy to administer them here. Dog Pawz is a one-stop shop for your pet's needs!

The Importance Of Resting

You may be asking – why is my pup resting and not outside with all their furry friends? Routine rest time during daycare is not only important to the health of your pet but also for the safety of the entire pack. Resting refers to the downtime in between playtimes during daycare. This gives your pet a chance to recuperate so they do not exhaust themselves before their visit comes to an end, which is especially important for our full-day guests. Additionally, resting significantly decreases the chances of injuries within the pack. Just like with humans, rest allows for the microtears in their muscles from exercising to repair and become stronger.

We take the safety of our pets and staff very seriously. Resting is an important part of our safety guidelines, including temperament tests and dividing our daycare pups into playgroups based on this temperament and size.
